The History of AllPoints

Allpoints Fire Protection was incepted in the late 1990’s, under the name Cascade Building Systems.  The entrepreneurs recognized a need in Northern BC for a dedicated and focused fire protection provider.  In the beginning, this included primarily: inspection and service of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting.

The Company has grown and evolved over time.  Cascade Building Systems became Cascade Fire Protection, and ultimately transformed to Allpoints Fire Protection in 2008, of which it is known for today.

In 2010, Allpoints moved from downtown Prince George to its current location, 2133 Ogilvie Street.  At this time, Allpoints purchased P.G. Fire and Safety, which added the capacity to have a Transport Canada certified hydrostatic testing facility.  This expansion of the company has allowed for testing of CO2, SCBA, SCUBA, and other cylinders up to 9000PSI.

In 2013, Allpoints established themselves as the exclusive Northern BC dealer of Vigilant (now known as Kidde) fire alarm systems.  This exclusive product line enabled Allpoints to provide material & programming packages to electrical contractors and did so with great success – earning accolades by Kidde in 2013 and 2016 as Canadian Dealer of the Year and Top Canadian Sales for 2018 and 2019.

In 2019, Johnson Controls began to offer the AutoCall line of fire alarm panels in Canada (as a rebranding of the longstanding Simplex line), for independent distribution by select dealers.  Allpoints became Canada’s FIRST AutoCall dealer.  We have achieved #1 Canadian sales and Top 10 North American sales in 2020 & 2021.  Allpoints is thankful for our strong and committed community relationships with end-user customers, electrical contractors, and engineers.

To add reach beyond Northern BC, in 2020 Allpoints Fire Protection expanded to the lower-mainland with the addition of a branch to provide AutoCall fire alarm packages throughout southern BC and Vancouver Island.

In 2020 we became a registered dealer of Ansul Engineered systems, historically renowned as an industry standard.  This relationship has allowed us access to their line of: Inergen, CO2, Novec 1230, and other suppression system products.

Also unique to Allpoints Fire Protection, is complete in-house offering of both fire alarm and sprinkler systems.  Often, a sprinkler contractor reaches their limit when they encounter the fire alarm system, or the interconnection between the two.  At Allpoints, the experience to conduct both specialties resides under one roof.  This allows our technicians and customers to have the support they need, without going to another contractor.

We pride ourselves on upholding the highest standards in the industry and providing excellent customer service.  We measure our success by our capacity to deliver on large projects (campuses, hospitals, mines, mills, etc.), however, we also provide the attention needed to smaller projects as well, as evidenced by the long list of restaurants, schools, care homes, and small businesses we have serviced throughout BC.

As we head into 2022, the team at Allpoints Fire Protection continues to expand their fire protection knowledge and pursue interesting and diverse projects.
